Parapsychological Association
The Parapsychological Association was established in 1969, and is dedicated to the scientific research of parapsychology, otherwise known as ESP. This isn’t a place where you’re going to find psychics to give you readings. In fact, there isn’t any of that at all on the website. However, if you are interested in the academic and scholarly research into parapsychology, anomalous psychological experiences, and ESP, you may find their journals interesting. However, you have to become a member to read any of their publications.
There have been serious studies into ESP for well over a century, but the work is often eclipsed by psychics themselves and the public’s obsession with them. If you’re familiar with Zener cards, or even with the original Ghostbusters movie, you're familiar with parapsychological studies. And while this website may be of little interest to the regular visitors to this site, and many of you may not also be parapsychologists. But take a look at some of the things of interest, especially the Youtube videos interviews top parapsychologists, and the blog. It’s updated every few days and covers the history of the study, current research, and researchers. Every serious student of psi and ESP should be aware of the Parapsychological Association, the work they do, and how they have elevated what we do out of the alleys, carnivals, and shop windows and onto stages, into books, and on television. This is nothing to snuff at if you’re currently enjoying the freedom to consult a psychic without being excommunicated or ostracized in your community.
