The word “clairvoyance” translates to “clear vision.” Clairvoyance is the psychic ability to see into the past, present, or future as if looking at pictures or seeing a movie. A clairvoyant can see the past, present, and future in places far away and very different from places they’ve been. Thus, for many young clairvoyants, visions can be confusing and sometimes disturbing.

Clairvoyance can be triggered a few different ways. Many times, especially when a psychic is young, it happens seemingly randomly. A psychic could be walking to school and suddenly see a vision of someone, someplace, doing something. They may not understand it.

Clairvoyances also occurs when making a psychic connection to someone. The psychic can tap into and “see” what’s in the past, present, or future for that other person. They can visualize memories, either through the other person’s point-of-view or holistically, like a third-party observer.

Clairvoyants like Edgar Cayce can also tap into the universal repository of knowledge called the Akashic records and search for things. This requires a lot of skill, focus, and practice. Edgar Cayce was able to heal people by seeing their illness and seeking out the cure.

Clairvoyance, however, is limited. Someone who is purely clairvoyant can’t tap into the emotions or thoughts of another person. They can only interpret what they see. Some of them aren’t clairaudient too, meaning they don’t hear the sounds that would accompany the images.
