Many believe that we have lived before in other times, bodies, and places. We may remember nothing, or remember much of our past lives. Children tend to remember best, losing their memories with age and sadly, by being told that their memories aren't real.

A good psychic can help you understand who you were in a past life.
However, there are signs of past lives aside from memories that clue us into who we may have been:

A strong affiliation to another culture, region, or era for no particular reason.

Example: A staunch Christian European-American woman had a fascination with Japan since toddlerhood, despite barely being exposed to Japanese culture, was a missionary to Japan in a past life and left against her will in some manner. She longed to go back and finish the work. Visiting felt like home.

Reoccurring dreams or nightmares, especially ones that began in early childhood.

Example: A young woman has dreamed of being killed in a crowd in a crowded train station since very early childhood. She never watched violent films as a child, and had never been in a train station until she was 21 and arrived in Grand Central in Manhattan, where she realized that that was where she was murdered in her dreams.

Birthmarks or physical quirks not inherited, not from injury, and seemingly without biological or physical origin.

The same young woman had a strawberry birthmark on her left side, just under her ribs. This is where she dreamed that she was shot in the train station by a man hiding a gun in his pocket.

Phobias or extreme disgust with no known cause.

Example: A woman who hates the color yellow immensely doesn't know why she hates it. She particularly hates butter yellow. As it turns out, in her previous life, she died of a prolonged illness in a room with yellow walls and a yellow bedspread.

A strong distaste for something despite culture or upbringing.

Examples: The same European-American woman who once lived in Japan had a lifelong hatred of dairy products even though she was raised in a dairy-heavy culture.
